Job Overview
BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the assigned Director in the Prevention Programs Department, implementing and coordinating programs to improve mental health awareness throughout the county. Focus on creating positive school climates, increasing access to mental health services, providing leadership to develop systems and evidence-based approaches for sustainable and measurable improvements in mental health. Including, but not limited to; awareness, educational supports, trauma informed practice, stigma reduction and suicide prevention.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to a B.A. Degree in Social Services or Psychology or a related field, at least two (2) years related experience working in an educational field, or (2) years’ experience working with at risk youth or mental health agencies.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver’s license. Be insurable and maintain insurability.
