Job Overview
The purpose of the therapist at the Women’s Resource Center is to provide trauma-focused therapy and case management services for sexual assault and domestic violence victims efficiently and effectively, offering the highest quality of service and ensuring all YWCA standards and requirements are met.
Job Responsibilities
Provides individual trauma-focused therapy services to sexual assault clients
Develop and implement group therapy programs for sexual assault clients
Provides case management services for group and individual therapy to clients
Provides phone follow-up services to crisis intervention clients within specified timelines and provide support, advocacy and resources to clients
Consults with community partners to ensure maximum utilization of resources and avoid duplication of services
Instructs health care, social service professionals and police officers in sexual assault issues and response strategies
Compiles and submits monthly statistical information in accordance with grant and funding requirements
Job Requirements
Experience in social services/mental health field required
Knowledge of issues of violence against women, sexual assault, domestic violence and trauma recovery
Knowledge of effective therapies used for trauma recovery
Knowledge of working with clients with multiple diagnoses and knowledge of diagnosis classifications and measurement
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Ability to troubleshoot problems and make quick decisions
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required
Education Requirements
Graduate degree required; MSW preferred
Clinical license preferred; Minimal licensure requirement is a provisional licensure or LMSW seeking LCSW
