Here is your opportunity to make a difference in the world! We are looking for a compassionate person to lead our Mental Health and suicide prevention program.

The Program Director will coordinate operations for the Native Connections program in our organization. This grant-funded program is designed to reduce the risk of suicide among tribal youth and young adults ages 24 and below with mental health issues. The Director will spend 100% of his or her time on this program. The Director will work in conjunction with the Executive Director for the success of this program. The Director will work directly with clients and service providers to develop an individual treatment plan and monitor participant progress through treatment. The Director will be responsible for meetings between the participants, community organizations, and partner organizations.

The Director will plan and coordinate all outreach/awareness activities. The Director will be responsible for the intake and eligibility of applicants. The Director’s responsibilities will also include compliance with reporting requirements for 2 CFR 200, managing budgets, establishing policies and procedures for mental health treatment, and keeping the program on task and advancing within the timeline.

Responsibilities

Oversee all operations, activities, and budgets for the Native Connections program

Review and improve applied standards and practices

Prepare and monitor program calendar

Reschedule or rearrange tasks and projects as necessary

Manage relations with vendors or partner organizations

Resolve issues to keep the program rolling

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations for each program

Prepare reports on the programs’ status or problems

Recommend improvements and present ideas for new programs

Skills

Proven experience as a program coordinator or similar role

Experience in budgeting

Familiarity with industry-related laws and regulations

Tech-savvy with working knowledge of time and project management software

Strong organizational and leadership skills

Exceptional communication skills

Analytical thinking

Interest in working with Native American youth and young adults age 24 and under

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in psychology, sociology, social work, or related field Master’s degree preferred.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Must have excellent verbal and writing skills and the ability to articulate orally with the public, in person, and on the phone.

Ability to get along with others and be responsible to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Must have own vehicle and the ability to travel.
Must have excellent organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
