Job Overview

Under general supervision, implements treatment programs to assist homebound clients and their families to adjust to personal and environmental difficulties, which predispose illness or interfere with obtaining maximum benefits from medical care.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Master’s degree in social work required.
  • Requires a minimum of one (1) year of social work experience in a health care setting.
  • Knowledge of the principles of human behavior, individual and group counseling techniques and relevant statutes and regulations.
  • Requires very high levels of social sensitivity, personal emotional adjustment and verbal skills in order to provide counseling, assist, and influence others. Requires a professional level of analytical skills in order to solve problems, analyze, and develop policies and procedures.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

  • Requires Licensure in the State of Michigan as a Social Worker (LMSW).
  • Must possess a current State of Michigan driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
