Job Overview
Position Title: Social Worker
Essential Functions: The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides comprehensive and standard psychosocial assessments, consultation and counseling services for the patients in the healthcare system, provides patients and families the assistance needed in coping with the patient’s hospitalization, illness, diagnosis, treatment and/or life situation, including emotional, mental and substance abuse disorders, coordinates the care for complex psychosocial/medical/psychiatric patients with the medical and psychiatry staff. Initiates Baker Act when appropriate.
Educational Requirements

- Master’s Degree (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Professional School of Social Work
- Diploma/Associates Degree
- RLMHC/LCSW, or Florida RCSW Intern
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:

- Effective communication skills to facilitate contact with physicians, patients/clients, families and staff.
- A minimum of one (1) year of social work experience in social services, preferably in a health care setting.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
