AIM has an opening for an RBT who will be responsible for assisting behavioral teams in the school setting. Duties include adhering to behavioral intervention plans developed by the ARD/IEP committee to provide students with the necessary interventions needed in the educational setting.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skills sets accordingly
- Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
- Develop and maintain professional relationships
- Communicate effectively (written and verbal)
- Adhere to school and/or organizational policies and procedures
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The day-to-day execution, and support of a behavioral plan, can include things like working directly with individual students or small groups, conducting follow-ups, and collecting data
- Follow the BIP (the behavior intervention plan) of students in special education
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable behaviors
- Interact and intervene directly with students who may be experiencing behavior struggles
- Communicate with school staff and families regularly regarding student’s progress or needs
- Maintain students’ confidentiality
- Assis the BCBA with skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Support students with behavioral needs in the educational environment to foster learning.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Maintain emotional control under stress.
- Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job.
- Regular District-wide travel to multiple work locations as assigned; frequent standing, stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, heavy lifting, and moderate carrying.
- May be required to lift and transfer students to and from wheelchairs or assist with positioning students with physical disabilities.
- Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
