Job Overview
The Georgetown University Center for Child & Human Development (GUCCHD) is dedicated to fostering a stronger society by promoting the wellbeing of ALL children, adults, and families and creating more inclusive communities. We execute this mission through research, training & technical assistance, scholarship, and thought leadership. Housed within the GUCCHD are two national programs which provide technical assistance and training related to Behavioral Health – the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Technical Assistance Project (IECMHC TAP) and the National Technical Assistance Center for Children, Youth, and Family Mental Health (NTTAC). IECMHC TAP is a collaboration between ZERO to THREE and GUCCHD and is funded by the Packard Foundation. The project aims to provide individualized technical assistance (TA) to a limited number of states, tribes and territories to assist with increasing IECMHC through the use of American Rescue Plan ACT (ARPA) funding in child care. The NTTAC is a collaboration between the Center for Applied Research Solutions (CARS) and GUCCHD and is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to build well-coordinated systems of evidence-based services and supports around infants, toddlers, children, and youth with or at-risk for behavioral health issues and their families.
The Program Coordinator reports programmatically to – and receives direction from – the Project Director (IECMHC TA Project) and Faculty Lead (NTTAC). In this key role, they help to manage the grant activities and deliverables for each program – in activities that include but are not limited to management of TA provision, to include the development of universal resources (webinars, training materials, PowerPoints), peer learning opportunities (communities of practice, direct training), and individualized technical assistance delivery.
The Program Coordinator works with the respective program leads to ensure program team workflow, management, and tracking of program activities to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables, support production of digital products, assist with technical support during online learning activities, coordinate and manage of training calendars/schedules, serve as part of the GUCCHD Communications team; and administer social media outreach for the respective programs, collection of data, and development and completion of required reporting. As well, the Program Coordinator serves as an important member of each team in the development, coordination, and planning of program activities; and serves to further cross-team collaboration and communication efforts.
Work Interactions
The Program Coordinator reports directly to the GUCCHD Administrator and will be provided work direction and daily supervision by the IECMHC TAP Project Director and the NTTAC Faculty Lead. They are a member of the Division of Early Childhood within the GUCCHD, participating with faculty and staff on research and technical assistance initiatives. The Program Coordinator represents the work of these two programs through their interactions with faculty, staff, consultants, grantees and constituents (i.e., foundation sponsors, agency representatives, Federal staff, behavioral health stakeholders, external subject matter experts working in a collaborative role on our projects, and recipients of the training).
