- JOB SUMMARY
- Mental Health workers provide care to individuals with mental or emotional conditions or disabilities under the direction of nurses and physicians. They closely monitor patients’ physical and emotional well-being and report to medical staff.
Some responsibilities include:
Monitoring vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure
Perform EKGs
Draw labs and collect specimen from patients
Assist patients in their daily activities such as: eating, dressing, and bathing.
Provide therapeutic groups and recreational activities to patients.
Assist in non violent crisis intervention.

- Educational Skills Required (Degree(s), Certification(s), License, etc.)
- High School graduate or equivalent. College degree preferred or previous experience in working with psychiatric and/or substance abuse patients preferred. CPR within 6 months of date of hire required.
- Work Experience Required
- Previous experience in psychology or sociology desirable.
