s looking for a compassionate, energetic Intake Specialist in our new ED/Crisis Stabilization Unit Behavioral Health unit.

 ign-On Bonus Available: $5,000 for full time
Title: Intake Specialist- Behavioral Health
Department: Emergency (Crisis Stabilization Unit)
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Evening and Day Shifts, 36 hours per week, weekend and Holiday rotation
Hospital: Ascension Mercy Medical Center
Location: 1325 North Highland Avenue, Aurora, IL 60506

MUST HAVE a 
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling.
This Intake Specialist position is eligible for $5,000.00 sign-on bonus, provided you successfully complete all pre-employment requirements subject to the terms and conditions of the offer. Former associates of six months are not eligible.

What You Will Do:

Conduct interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions.
  • Provide admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.
  • Admit patients to the hospital and register outpatients with appropriate physician orders or transfers to another facility.
  • Document calls and related admission information.
  • Review all paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence with hospital and regulatory policies.
  • May staff a crisis hotline.

What You Will Need:

Education:
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree, or Technical degree required.
