Job Overview
The A&R Clinician is responsible for facilitating admissions to SSBH Inpatient and Outpatient programs and making referrals to community resources when appropriate. The A&R Clinician works as part of an Intake team to coordinate phone, fax and walk-in referrals, complete crisis assessments, and assess for medical necessity for determination of appropriate level of care. Coordinates with providers, nurses, and treatment team for admissions and supporting documentation..
Education: Master’s Degree in a human relations field.
Experience: Preferably two or more years’ experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting. A minimum of two (2) years’ post Master’s Degree experience in a psychiatric setting including customer contact required.
Licensure: Licensure: Status as a Mental Health Professional in the State of Wa. required. Licensed to practice in the state of Washington required. (example: LMHC, LMHCA, LCP, LMFT, LICSW, SWAIC)
Additional Requirements: A working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam. A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field.
