Primary Children’s Behavioral Health Child Day Treatment Program is excited to add an Occupational Therapy Assistant to our multidisciplinary team.
Under the direct supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing therapeutic patient care services including consulting and training the patient and their caregivers.
Primary Children’s Behavioral Health Inpatient Program is looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team.
This is an opportunity for a talented OTA passionate about pediatric care to join a program that seeks to support and stabilize youth in crisis through evidence-based care. The COTA will work under a licensed OT to implement treatment programming, collaborate with team members, and lead groups.
This position involves work on one of our inpatient psychiatric units. This program seeks to support patients in crisis by identifying the major factors contributing to their problems and developing strategies to move forward with greater success. We rely on a diverse set of approaches and seek to help patients maintain engagement and regulation through an innovative approach to milieu management and treatment planning. The unit is staffed by a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, and social workers.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program (degree will be verified).
- Current license in the State of practice.
- A certified Occupational Therapist Assistant through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
Physical Requirements:
Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.
