As a Full-Time Employment Specialist (Mental Health) at HopeLink, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health conditions in securing and maintaining meaningful employment within the Arlington, VA community.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct assessments to identify clients’ vocational interests, skills, and abilities.
- Develop individualized employment plans that match clients with suitable job opportunities.
- Provide on-site and off-site job coaching to ensure successful job placement and retention.
- Deliver engaging psycho-educational courses to equip clients with job readiness skills.
- Build strong relationships with clients, employers, and community providers to foster a supportive network.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree required in rehabilitation counseling, social work, or a related human services field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum one year of experience working with adults or youth with mental health challenges.
- Strong clinical writing skills and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
