Counselor Assistant

Empowerment Thru Expression, LLC., Therapy Center & Mind Spa, is a thriving holistic therapy practice.

Currently we are seeking Counselor Assistants (independent contractors) to work with clients at our Laurel, MD location.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive
science, biology, social work, or related area.

Applicants with HS diploma and experience in mental health field will also be considered.

Our ideal candidate:

Counselor Assistants will perform the following duties:

-Assist with biofeedback/ neurofeedback sessions

-Provide relaxation sessions for clients

-Maintain progress notes for client sessions

-Keep track of client schedules

-Assist Clinical Director with other client related tasks.

-Etc.

Therapy assistants will deliver services to youth and adult clients with various mental health conditions including: ADHD, anxiety, depression, etc.

• The position is part-time/ contractual.
• Applicants must be able to commit to at least 10 client hours per week.
• Candidates MUST have at least high school diploma (preferably some college courses in a social science field).
• Schedules are flexible.
• We are currently hiring English and Spanish speaking staff.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Some staff has the option to work remotely (via video conferencing) to limit number of individuals in the office. All staff and clients are required to wear masks while in the office.
