The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (Lifeline) is a program administered by Vibrant. The Lifeline in a national network of approx. 200 independently owned crisis call centers across the country.
Position Objective: The Coordinator – Clinical Technologies is responsible for continuing to develop, define, and expand program best practices and expertise in providing mental health care across various technological modalities and providing clinical assistance to the Lifeline network members (a network of 165+ independently owned crisis centers across the country) in these areas. This position requires frequent interaction with Lifeline network centers and leaders in the suicide prevention and crisis center communities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and expand clinical program knowledge and expertise in various digital and online technologies.
- Provide crisis centers with guidance, training, and information on up-to-date research on providing suicide prevention/crisis services via various modalities including chat, text, and mobile apps.
- Work with external evaluation team to apply lessons learned and to improve and expand emerging best practices in clinical technologies and disseminate to crisis centers.
- Work with the Standards, Training, and Practices department as needed in the development of training and procedural tools for Lifeline centers in these modalities.
- Facilitate a community of best practices regarding Clinical Technologies among crisis centers by interfacing directly with crisis centers (in the form of webinars, discussion boards, and other network communications)
- Develop and implement formal quality assurance protocols for Lifeline chat and text based programs with particular focus on adherence to Lifeline best practices in helping callers at risk for suicide.
- Assist in the development of an online digital space where people in need of support can go for resources, distraction, and other coping tools.
- Work with social media and other online or digital platforms to expand safety procedures for anyone who is seeking support on these platforms.
- Monitor relevant blogs and list-serves and promote Lifeline when applicable.
- Represent Lifeline at major national or regional conferences and advisory committees that will enhance Lifeline’s recognized leadership in best practices in Clinical Technologies.
- Respond to emails from public website.

Qualifications:
- Candidate will have an interest in mental health/suicide prevention, some familiarity with the nonprofit sector, experience with technology, and in interest in developing access to crisis work through various technological mediums.
- Have experience delivering crisis services over one or more technologies (e.g. chat, text, apps, and online platforms).
- A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
Salary :$60K-$65K
