Job Overview
- Help students determine if re-engagement programming is the best option for them and, if so, complete the steps necessary for enrollment.
- Provide academic advising, career guidance and employment assistance or referrals
- Provide and/or refer students to support services that are based on the individual student’s needs.
- Student-centered management focused largely on positive relationship building, leading to a stronger, more sustainable support network.
- Meet with students regularly while they are participating in re-engagement activities and as they transition to subsequent employment or post-secondary work.
- Develop transition plans based on individual student needs with a focus on school, work, and community re-engagement.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & SkillsMinimum Qualifications:Case Manager I
- Bachelor’s Degree in social work, counseling, education, or a related field; OR a Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience providing case management, counseling, or other direct services to at-risk individuals or 16-21 year-old youth.
Case Manager II
- Master’s degree in education, Counseling, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:Case Manager I

- Two years of experience providing case management, counseling, or other direct services to at-risk individuals or 16-21 year-old youth.
Working Conditions/Employment RequirementsWorking Conditions:
- Extended or flexible hours as necessary.
- Travel to school districts and community agencies in the region.
Employment Requirements – ESD job offer is contingent upon satisfying the following:
- Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
