We are looking for a Behavior Specialist to join our team and help meet the goal of serving our community. The Behavior Specialist will bring expertise to the organization’s transition to and development of clinical service structure. His/her principal function is collaborating and liaising with, providing support and technical assistance to people supported by JFGH and agency staff, and reviewing and evaluating for efficacy and impact behavioral related services delivered by JFGH staff. While the Behavior Specialist is primarily internally facing, s/he is expected to work as part of multi- and interdisciplinary teams in support of the holistic health needs of people JFGH supports. The Jewish Foundation for Group Homes will depend on YOU for the support of its most precious assets: Its employees.
If you have:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively to Individuals supported, leadership, peers, staff, and external constituencies
- Technical knowledge in areas of behavior plan development (with a demonstrable understanding of social determinants of mental/behavioral health, intersectionality, and diagnostic overshadowing),
- Billing functions (broadly), and similar; ability to teach and train staff at all levels.
- Master’s degree in psychology, intellectual and/or Developmental disabilities, social work or related human development discipline; and licensure or license eligible in Maryland or Virginia, come join us.
