While a conferred master’s degree is required for this position, both licensed and unlicensed candidates interested in sharpening and growing their clinical skills are welcome and encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Engages consumers, appropriate family members, and significant others as requested and consented to by client, in the strength-based and trauma-informed treatment process and goal setting. Identifies risk factors including lethality.
- Works constructively with consumers to reach agreed upon outcomes, and coordinates care with internal and external providers. Maintains appropriate professional standards and provides appropriate follow-up for consumers.
- Provides individual and group treatment utilizing evidence-based practices to promote change and movement through the therapeutic system following recovery-based practice guidelines.
- Complete intake, assessments, and initial engagement strategies with consumers in accordance with clinical practice guidelines and agency policies.
- Provide collateral consultation to Colorado Work Force, Community Assistance Division Case managers on shared cases.
- Complete quarterly outcome data on client participation and treatment progress as agreed upon with TANF Managers.
- Meet required number of consumer service hours as determined by the Network Director through effective caseload management responsive to the level of ongoing clinical need.
- Participates in regular supervision by coming prepared with an agenda. Reports high risk/problem cases, and utilizes a problem solving approach as well as feedback. Attends supervision at times and interval agreed upon with supervisor, as well as mandatory in-services and professional development activities.
- Corporate Compliance including documentation on practice in accordance with regulatory requirements and clinical guidelines. Meets deadlines for submission of paperwork and notes (including submitting 90% of notes within 3 working days and 95% of paperwork by due date).
- Ensures that fee collections meet the team goal as determined by Network Director. Monitors client balances and takes appropriate steps in accordance with agency guidelines for collecting payment, rescheduling appointments until a fee is paid and/or a payment plan is in place, adjusting fees as needed.
- Exhibits enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the work environment. Maintains effective interpersonal relations with consumers, peers, subordinates, upper management, visitors, and the general public. Uses language and behavior to promote dignity and respect.
- Effectively responds to the client/consumer needs and problems, initiates and maintains positive interactions, timely response to phone calls, email and other requests.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to develop therapeutic alliance with consumers and to work effectively and with cultural competence with consumers from diverse backgrounds.
- Addresses the whole health needs of the client by ensuring that appropriate releases are in place for physical health care providers, making appropriate referrals as needed when significant physical health needs are a consideration.
- Utilizes a range of appropriate clinical and recovery focused interventions according to clinical need or refers as indicated to other services within the agency. Assesses and treats clients within one’s scope of expertise.
- Understand how trauma impacts the lives of the people being served, so that every interaction is consistent with the recovery process and reduces the possibility of retraumatization. Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of trauma informed care and ensure that these principles guide one’s practice.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited university/college in a related field, required. Degree must be conferred and must be in a subject area applicable for licensure in Colorado before beginning position.
- License preferred (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LP).
- One or more years related experience and/or training, including Knowledge of Recovery-based treatment and trauma informed practices required. Counseling experience preferred.
- Bilingual and skills/experience in integrated health approaches preferred.
Salary & Benefits:
- $45,000 to $57,200**
- Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.
- Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.
