Job Overview
Provides mental health services to probationer/parolees including crisis intervention, screening,
mental health assessment, psychoeducational services, individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and re-entry planning under the supervision and direction of the Regional Mental Health Clinician.
Screens, tracks and monitors probationer/parolees with mental health services needs in coordination with assigned Probation or Parole Officers. Provides consultation and training to Probation and Parole Staff.
Provides in-service and other training.
Relevant professional experience under supervision to include demonstrated skills in psychological assessment including diagnostic interviewing, and report writing.
Graduate degree in Psychology (Clinical or Counseling), Social Work, or related human services field from an accredited university or college or an equivalent combination of training and experience, with advanced coursework in psychology.
Experience providing mental health treatment in a correctional, forensic, mental health or other institutional setting preferred.
The investigation may include: fingerprint checks (State Police, FBI); local agency checks; employment verification; verification of education (relevant to employment); credit checks; and other checks requested by the hiring authority.
