Arbor Place, Inc. is seeking to hire an individual who desires to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families we serve by working as a Mental Health Therapist in our Adult Residential SUD Treatment Program. For over 45 years, Arbor Place, Inc. has been a private non-profit organization in the field of helping people recover from substance use and mental health disorders. Our staff strive to do what’s right for our clients, and our management strives to do what’s right for the staff. If you would like to work in a relaxed, team-based, supportive environment with co-workers that have the same passion as you to promote accessing effective treatment services, then Arbor Place may be the right place for you.
The ideal candidate to become the newest member of the Arbor Place Team is someone who finds value in putting their best effort in doing their job well. This includes having the ability and drive to complete tasks in a timely manner, with accuracy and completeness, as well as being an active member of a multi-disciplinary team to support a client and their family in early recovery. It is also very important to be able to contribute to a healthy workplace culture.
As a Mental Health Therapist, you will work with a clinical team to best meet clients needs. This will include reviewing mental health screens to collaboratively determine how to provide client care within the residential program. This will include working collaboratively with their primary substance use disorder counselor, completing mental health assessments, coordinate appropriate mental health care and interventions, as well as recommendations for follow-up care. This is a key role to positively engage new clients as they enter treatment during, what most commonly, is a very stressful time in their life. It is essential to be able to provide client-centered care in an empathetic and trauma-informed way. Additional tasks will include treatment group facilitation, and working as a team of professionals providing treatment and support to our clients.
What we are looking for is an individual with a combination of work experience and education of how to best work with our target population of individuals and families with substance use and/or mental health disorders. A master’s degree and a current Wisconsin mental health professional licensure (LPC, MFT, LCSW) is required. Experience in a residential treatment setting is desired.
This can be either a part-time or full-time benefits eligible position. We offer competitive pay and benefits and can set up a work schedule based on your preferences and needs. Employment at Arbor Place, Inc. makes you eligible for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
