Status: Regular full-time, exempt

Compensation: $62,400-$66,000 per year plus benefits including health & dental coverage, paid holidays/sick leave/vacation plus more

JOB SUMMARY:

The Parent Support Services Manager is responsible for the implementation and organization of CPI’s wide range of parent education and support services, including Triple P- Positive Parenting In-home program and group classes. This position has primary responsibility to make sure all grant/contract requirements are met including scopes of work, data collection and reporting. The Parent Support Services Manager is responsible for the training and supervision of the parent education staff and administrative support staff (10-15 employees).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates teamwork among parent education staff, administrative support staff and leadership team in order to best carry out and meet the goals of the agency.
  • Supports staff to deliver trauma informed, evidence based services.
  • Ensures all grant/contract requirements are met including scopes of work, data collection and reporting.
  • Responsible for participating in grant writing.
  • Monitors program expenses within contract budgets.
  • Ensures consistency with professional ethics, laws and agency policies and procedures including consulting and guiding staff on suspected child abuse reports, ensuring compliance with mandated reporting requirements.
  • Collaborates with HR to recruit and hire new staff; conducts interviews and manages orientation and training process.
  • Conducts regular check-ins with staff to evaluate performance.
  • Conducts coaching for job performance and, when necessary, progressive discipline and employment termination meetings.
  • Coordinates training, conferences and other related educational opportunities for program staff.
  • Attends relevant community meetings.
  • Collaborates with community partners, for the purpose of service referrals.
  • Participates in monthly CPI leadership team meetings.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Demonstrated competencies in supervising and training program staff.
  • Interpersonal skills: cooperates and collaborates effectively. Ability to serve as a liaison between staff in all CPI programs. Displays a professional demeanor. Promotes a cohesive, team- oriented environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of personnel and clients in a diverse community.
  • Communications: express ideas clearly, concisely and effectively, both orally and in writing. Practices effective listening skills. Positively represents CPI to clients, employees, and other community providers.
  • Ability to represent CPI at community meetings and to support community and CPI initiatives that improve the health of children and families.
  • Willingness to take on new responsibilities and duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience in managing non-profit program(s) or mental health related programs.
  • Training & Proficiency in Triple P Positive Parenting Program Level 4 or higher.
  • Experience in developing and presenting training materials.
  • Knowledge/experience with domestic violence; parenting issues, child development and family resources.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with diverse populations, utilizing culturally competent, strength-based strategies.
  • Ability to supervise and collaborate with staff in a manner that is flexible and supportive yet ensures accountability.
  • Ability to work in partnership with a strong leadership and a committed staff with high standards.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft suite, Google Drive, online calendars, email, and video conferencing tools. Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Spanish/English bilingual strongly preferred.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs (supplies)
  • Prolonged sitting and working on a computer and telephone.
